O presente artigo visa a apresentar direcionamentos teóricos, históricos e metodológicos para o estudo da Revolta dos Macabeus, apresentando não somente a história da pesquisa deste assunto, mas também o estado atual da mesma, destacando tanto os principais assuntos abordados atualmente como ainda os vários mecanismos e instrumentos que podem auxiliar o pesquisador, a exemplo das fontes literárias, da numismática, da epigrafia e até mesmo a consulta de papiros.
ABSTRACT
This article aims to present theoretical, historical and methodological orientations for the study of the Maccabean Revolt, presenting not only the history of the research of this subject but also the current state of the same, highlighting both the main subjects currently covered and the various mechanisms and instruments which can help the researcher, such as literary sources, numismatics, epigraphy and even papyrus consultation.
